IDS peak 2.10.0 / uEye+ firmware 3.34

IDS Peak comfortSDK, genericSDK, IPL, and AFL developer manuals are external documents. Please contact us if you need them.

There are several camera parameters that contain basic information about the camera model, the sensor, current operation mode, or connection settings.

Camera identification

Unique identifiers to distinguish between multiple cameras.

Name

Description

DeviceSerialNumber

The camera's serial number

DeviceUserID

User-defined name of the camera, e.g. myCamera1

You can set this name and use it as identifier for your cameras.

For GigE cameras, you can also use the IP address or MAC address as unique identifiers.

Camera model and firmware information

Consistent model information, might change with a firmware update.

Name

Description

DeviceFamilyName

Camera family name, e.g. U3-CP

DeviceModelName

Name of the camera model group, e.g. U3-306xCP-C

DeviceManufacturerInfo

Additional manufacturer information, e.g. the full model name U3-3060CP-C-HQ R2

DeviceOpticalFilterType

Optical filter, e.g. protection glass (GL) or IR cut-off filter (HQ)

DeviceVersion

Hardware version number

DeviceFirmwareVersion

Firmware version number, e.g. 2.8.11867

DeviceVendorName

The camera's vendor name, e.g. IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH

DeviceSFNCVersionMajor

Major identifier of the SFNC version, e.g. 2 for SFNC 2.3.0

DeviceSFNCVersionMinor

Minor identifier of the SFNC version, e.g. 3 for SFNC 2.3.0

DeviceSFNCVersionSubMinor

Sub-minor identifier of the SFNC version, e.g. 0 for SFNC 2.3.0

Sensor information

Name

Description

SensorName

Full sensor name, e.g. Sony IMX174LQJ-C

SensorPixelWidth

Pixel width in microns, e.g. 5.86 μm

SensorPixelHeight

Pixel height in microns, e.g. 5.86 μm

SensorWidth

Number of sensor pixels in horizontal direction (x resolution), e.g. 1920

SensorHeight

Number of sensor pixels in vertical direction (y resolution), e.g. 1200

SensorShutterMode

Shutter mode of the camera, e.g. Global

GigE Vision connection information

Name

Description

GevMACAddress

The camera's MAC address, e.g. 00:1B:A2:20:1F:57

GevCurrentIPAddress

The camera's current IP address, e.g. 169.254.193.120

DeviceLinkThroughputLimit

Current bandwidth limitation, e.g. 125.000.000 Bps

You can reduce that limit in order to handle bandwidth issues with multi-camera systems.

DeviceLinkCalculatedThroughput

Calculated bandwidth, given the current camera settings without bandwidth limitation, e.g. 32.500.000 Bps

Further camera status information

Name

Description

DeviceScanType

Current scan type of the camera, e.g. Areascan

SensorOperationMode

Current operation mode, e.g. LongExposure

You can change the operation mode if you load a different user set.

DeviceTemperatureSelector

Location of the temperature measurement, e.g. Mainboard

DeviceTemperature

Current temperature of the device, e.g. 39.68 °C

DeviceLinkSpeed

Transmission speed (maximum bandwidth) that was negotiated with the host, e.g. 500.000.000 Bps

DeviceLinkAcquisitionFrameRateLimit

Maximum frame rate that can be transferred, given the current camera settings and bandwidth limitations, e.g. 66.5 Hz (or fps)

This is a calculated value and can slightly differ from real frame rates.

DeviceClockFrequency

PixelClock, if DeviceClockSelector = Sensor, e.g. 474.000.000 Hz.
