Programming in Python

The PyuEye interface is available for programming in Python. It allows you to use uEye cameras with the object-oriented programming language Python.

The PyuEye interface is hosted on https://pypi.org/project/pyueye/ as an open source project. You can download the latest version or install it directly on your system using the Python package management PIP.

The following installation steps are recommended for the PyuEye interface:

1.Install Python.

2.Install IDS Software Suite.

3.Download and unpack PyuEye.

The Quickstart section at https://pypi.org/project/pyueye/#description describes how to initialize a camera. Additionally the programming example "Simple live - image acquisition with the Python interface PyuEye" is available under https://en.ids-imaging.com/programming-examples.html.
