Update the camera firmware regularly to benefit from bug fixes or new camera features.

Use the firmware update tool ids_deviceupdate or the IDS peak Cockpit to upload the firmware update to the camera using the GUF file.

1.Open the IDS peak Cockpit.

2.Make sure that GigE Vision cameras have a valid IP address, see GigE configuration.

3.Open the camera manager by clicking in the main menu.

4.Select the camera in the camera manager.

5.Click to open the dialog for selecting the update file for the Vision firmware (*.guf).

6.Select the update file.

7.Click on “Open”.

►The update is started and the camera is updated.
If you select an incorrect update file by mistake, you will see the message "The update file is incompatible".

After the update is complete, you can click the "Back" button to return to the camera manager. Click the "OK" button to close the window.
