These features provide general information and control of the camera and its sensor. This is mainly used to identify the camera during the enumeration process and to obtain information about the sensor resolution.

Camera identification

DeviceSerialNumber: The camera's serial number, unique identifier.

DeviceUserID: User-defined name of the camera. You can set this name and use it as identifier for your cameras.

Camera model and firmware information

DeviceFamilyName, DeviceModelName, DeviceManufacturerInfo, DeviceVendorName: Identifying the camera's family, model type, full model name and vendor name.

DeviceOpticalFilterType: Optical filter, e.g. protection glass (GL) or IR cut-off filter (HQ)

DeviceVersion: Hardware version number.

DeviceFirmwareVersion: Firmware version number.

DeviceSFNCVersionMajor, DeviceSFNCVersionMinor, DeviceSFNCVersionSubMinor: Identifying the SFNC version that the camera's firmware complies to.

Current operation information

DeviceBootStatus, DeviceBootStatusAdditionaInformation1, DeviceBootStatusAdditionaInformation2: Current boot status of the camera.

DeviceClockSelector, DeviceClockFrequency: This can be used to read device clock frequencies.

DeviceScanType, SensorOperationMode: Indicates if the camera is currently running in one of the area scan modes ("Default" or "LongExposure") or in line scan mode.

DeviceTemperatureSelector, DeviceTemperature: The current temperature of the camera.

DeviceLinkSpeed, DeviceLinkAcquisitionFrameRateLimit: The currently negotiated data transfer rate to the host PC or network and the maximum frame rate that could be sent over the link with the current camera configuration.

Others

DeviceReset: Resets the camera to its power-up state. After reset, the camera must be rediscovered.

TimestampReset: Resets the camera internal timestamp.

DeviceRegistersStreamingStart, DeviceRegistersStreamingEnd: Controls the streaming of features for restoring parameter sets from the host to the camera.

SensorCalibration: Enables the sensor calibration/FPN (fixed pattern noise) correction.

GigE specific information

DeviceLinkCalculatedThroughput: Bandwidth with the current camera configuration.

DeviceLinkThroughputLimit: Limits the bandwidth that the camera uses for sending out data.

DeviceLinkCommandTimeout: Maximum command response time of the camera.

DeviceLinkHeartbeatMode, DeviceLinkHeartbeatTimeout: Controls the heartbeat mechanism of the camera.

DeviceLinkPacketsDropped: Counts the dropped Ethernet packets due to bandwidth issues.

DeviceStreamChannelEndianness, DeviceStreamChannelPacketSize: Information about the data layout on the stream channel.
