The Kowa HC VIS SWIR lenses are 1" 12 megapixel C-mount industrial lenses designed for 1" sensors with pixel sizes of 3.1µm or greater. They are suitable for Sony IMX990, IMX991 sensors and many other sensors, and also compatible with 2/3", 1/1.8", 1/2", and 1/3" sensors.
Kowa HC VIS SWIR lenses are ideal for a wide range of machine vision and inspection applications due to their outstanding features. The ultra wideband multi-coatings enhance transmission, while chromatic aberration (color fringing) is significantly reduced through the use of specialized extra low dispersion (XD) glass. Kowa's floating mechanism design eliminates optical aberrations from close distance to infinity.
With VIS-SWIR-Correction, images remain in focus despite fluctuations in wavelengths from visible to infrared or vice versa. Conventional visible, NIR, or SWIR lenses experience focus shifts due to variations in the refractive index as the wavelength changes. However, Kowa lenses address this issue effectively by incorporating extra low dispersion (XD) glass and precisely aligning all internal lens elements. This results in the elimination of focus shift problems, ensuring consistent image clarity regardless of wavelength variations.
In the SWIR range, these lenses can be utilized to see beyond the visible spectrum, enabling inspection applications to identify contamination, defects, foreign objects.
