IDS Imaging Ensenso C Series 3D cameras are compact, industrial cameras for 3D color imaging. The 2D RGB color sensor, 200 watt pattern projector, and the FlexView 3 pattern shift work together to produce a 3D point cloud for true color 3D images. The ability to inspect objects in 3D color improves the process of many 3D imaging applications when performing activities such as sorting, inspection, and detection. The 3D data is so detailed and precise that even the smallest objects can be detected - as small as ~1 mm.
The Ensenso C 3D camera is based on the stereo vision principle . With the fully calibrated stereo and RGB cameras, factory presets for lenses, pattern projector, field of view, and working distance these 3D color cameras are ready to use.
The field of view and working distance are preset according to the chosen model. The Ensenso C57-S 3D camera has a 240 mm baseline and 975 mm focal length, and the C57-M 3D camera has a 455 mm baseline and 1,850 mm focal length. The C57-S variant is more suitable for closer working distances (0.1 mm at 1 m distance), and the C57-M for longer working distances (0.2 mm at 2 m distance) - both with similar and precise accuracy.
The RGB color image sensor supplements the 3D point cloud to produce more realistic looking 3D images.
*Projected texture stereo vision is a process for capturing non textured surfaces
Ensenso C 3D cameras are suitable for many 3D imaging applications including including robotics, bin picking, warehouse automation, and 3D measurement tasks.
IDS Ensenso 3D cameras and 3D camera systems have numerous features and multiple options for capturing 3D data. They are made in Germany and built for industrial 3D applications. Ensenso 3D cameras include the Ensenso SDK software that accelerates the application set up, configuration and development time. Ensenso 3D cameras are ideal for numerous industrial 3D applications including robotics, logistics, factory automation, sorting, and quality assurance.
